Lorenzo Waterman, or The Pumpkin Rabbit (PR for short), is the antagonist of both The Mysterious House and Night of the Living Robot.

Origin (NOLR)

His origin in Night of the Living Robot is that he is a product of Felix Kranken’s brain. He is in his nightmares, presumably trying to kill him and serves as an antagonist in the mini-games.

Appearance

Pumpkin Rabbit has the same stature and figure as the animatronic he represents, even having the same floppy ears. He has orange fur on his outer torso and his forearms, with his belly and parts of his ears being a lighter shade of the same color. His legs and claws are stripped of fur, showing the green endoskeleton with dark green stripes underneath. Along with that, he has a massive, black hole in his chest. He wears a yellow mask that makes him resemble more of a horse than a rabbit due to how long it makes his face. The mask itself has black eyes, a small black nose, and a very long and thin grin. His real face is dark, with seemingly burnt human skin, with only his red lips, teeth, and wide, human-like eyes being visible. He only wears a purple bowtie.

His original appearance in NOLR is virtually the same, but with a much pudgier physique and a much smaller and rounder mask.

The Mysterious House

In the The Mysterious House, he acts like a kind stranger at face value. He lives in a house in the woods, giving kids candy on Halloween, with his friends Billy, TVA, and the Witch Sheep. He takes photos of the children he lets into his house. He typically invites the children to stay the night, under the excuse of it being too dangerous to walk home alone, where he and the others stalk them. He then brutally murders them, propping their corpses up on chairs in a dark room. (THIS NEEDS TO BE OVERHAULED AT SOME POINT)

The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit

in The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit, he later appears in October 1983 and starts to look for newcomers to his house, however things take a turn for the greater when 4 little kids come to the Mysterious House, only for one of them to get killed in the process by the couple, this would come ahead as after this happened, the Dog burns the Halloween book and soon all of the Bodies of the Trick or Treaters come back to life to kill the couple for good, Thus ending the Pumpkin Rabbit’s murderous adventures.

Personality

Due to his limited screentime, very little is known about Pumpkin Rabbit's personality and motives. When first met, the Pumpkin Rabbit's personality is that of a fairly polite man albeit with a creepy, husky voice. His speech is punctuated by childish and condescending language such as referring to children as "little bunnies" something he continues to do well past his facade. When encountered by Tammy in the basement at the end of the short his true colours are shown, his voice unchanged but now being outwardly threatening towards Tammy. He appears to be obsessed with his rules, punishing children who go against him with death should they leave their rooms after dark. It's unknown if this is another facade or if children who do not disobey his rules are allowed to live.

Theories

Note: These are not canon in any way, just fan-created theories. We suggest not to take our word until it’s been confirmed by Martin.

  1. Pumpkin Rabbit was a kid and a Trick-or-Treater in the late 1800s that was murdered. Then, in the 1920s/1930s, the killer died. Pumpkin Rabbit is somehow being controlled by the spirit of the killer and possibly is not in control on Halloween night, as that is when the spirit of the killer strikes.
  2. Due to Pumpkin Rabbit smiling after taking his mask off, some believe that it is Jack Walten inside of Pumpkin Rabbit. Since Pumpkin Rabbit is an alternate version of Bon, people believe that this means Jack Walten is a victim of Bon, or that Felix Kranken killed him to stop him from knowing about the murders of Edd and Molly.
