Felix A. Kranken is a main character in The Walten Files. He is one of the co-founders of Bon's Burgers.

History

Felix and Jack Walten met each other during college and became good friends. Some time after he graduated, he would marry a woman named Linda. Unfortunately, around this time, he started becoming addicted to alcohol, which eventually led to his wife leaving him. This reached a boiling point when, after Jack had him take Edd and Molly to a school party, he ended up crashing the car on the way home due to his drunken state, leading to Edd and Molly's deaths. Racked with guilt, he buried their bodies in Saint Juana’s Forest. He now does everything he can to try and cover up both Edd and Molly's deaths, and the sudden disappearance of Jack Walten.

Appearance

In his normal state, he is about 2’0, human male with a rectangular shaped head, short, brown hair in the style of mullet, and rectangular glasses. In the Welcome to Bon's Burgers continuity, he wears gray clothing and has a black mullet.

His cartoon self is drawn to be wearing a green shirt with a red tie and rolled up sleeves, as well as dark green slacks with brown shoes. He has a cartoon-like nose, simple dot eyes that are shown through his glasses, and brown hair.

The Felix displayed by the ShowBear in BunnyFarm is extremely tall, wearing a dark blue suit jacket and pants with white buttons. He wears a black shirt underneath along with a pair of glasses. In the bad ending scene, he is shown as both a red mask, with a frown that cries black tears, and as his cartoon self, but with a much more sketch-like style and a very fearful, teary-eyed expression.

Personality

Felix is shown to be a generally well-meaning man, albeit with a severe alcohol addiction. The addiction was so bad that his wife left him for it, and he didn't seem to care much about driving while drunk.

In Guilty, he is shown to be very remorseful and saddened about what happened with the Walten children, and also shows that he has a large fear of Jack Walten.

Company Introductory Tape

Felix and Jack are shown in a picture shaking hands, along with a recorded message written by the two.

Relocate Project

He is briefly seen with Cartoon Bon working at a computer in the beginning segment, as well as in the same picture we saw in episode 1, albeit with Jack cropped out, then as an 8-bit sprite of him is seen when the titular relocate project is mentioned, and finally, right before the segment ends, he is referred to as the one and only founder of Bon's Burgers, before a grayscale, cartoon drawing of Jack Walten is shown.

Lucky You

Near the beginning of the video, the guilt Felix felt is referenced by the quote, "He is so sorry for what he did to them, but there is nothing he can do now. Remember that".

BunnyFarm & Guilty

Felix-Guilty

Felix's picture in Guilty, dated 1972.

In BunnyFarm, Jack calls Felix and asks him to pick up and drive Edd and Molly to a Brighton school party. While the children were partying, Felix was at the drinking area, and by time the Walten children went up to him so they could leave, Felix was already very drunk. Despite his drunken condition, he still decided to drive the children back to their home. Unfortunately, due to his drunken state while driving at high speed, he ended up crashing the car and killing both children. Despite the accident, he managed to survive, and was in immense shock and fear. He ended burying them in the forest because he was afraid of facing Jack. He left the Rocket doll near where they were buried, though whether this was intentional or not is unknown. Nonetheless, the children's spirits soon go on to possess the Rocket doll, which was left on the dirt. Soon after the accident, Jack would attempt to call Felix, to which Felix would ignore, again, due to his fear of him.

In Guilty, Felix, again in a drunken state, confesses to what happened on the night of the children's disappearance. He is shown to express immense guilt and sadness while going over what happened, along with terror since he didn't know what to tell Jack. He ends up trying to comfort himself, saying that everything will be okay, while clearly on the verge of tears.
